hairspringf offers three repair services for mechanical watches. Each has a clear scope, a published starting price, and a realistic turnaround time — worked by hand in our Bangkok workshop.

How the work proceeds.
All jobs follow the same sequence regardless of scope. The watch is assessed under magnification and a written quote is prepared. Once the owner approves, work begins. The watchmaker who accepts the piece carries it through to completion — no handoffs between technicians during the job.
We aim to use original manufacturer parts where these are available at reasonable cost. When they are not, we discuss alternatives with the owner before ordering anything. Replaced parts are returned in a labelled envelope.
Movement work concludes with measurement on the timegrapher: rate, amplitude, and beat error are noted in multiple positions. Cases opened for overhaul are pressure tested before returning to the owner. The service documentation travels with the watch.
If anything unexpected emerges during the repair — an additional worn component not visible at assessment — we contact the owner immediately rather than proceeding without approval.
Service 01
Strap & Bracelet Refresh and Sizing

Cleaning, resizing, and refitting of leather, rubber, or metal bracelets, with worn spring bars renewed as needed. Suited to owners who want their watch to sit properly on the wrist without committing to a full service. The clasp or buckle is checked for security and the bracelet is cleaned between the links.

Chronograph Servicing & Calibration
From ฿11,000 · 3–4 weeks typical
Servicing of the added chronograph works alongside the base movement. Suited to multi-function pieces whose stopwatch action has grown stiff, whose pushers do not return crisply, or whose minute recording sub-dial has drifted. Includes function testing across all sub-dials and a timing review once reassembled.

Service 03
Complete Overhaul & Case Refinish
From ฿34,500 · 4–8 weeks typical
A full movement overhaul combined with hand refinishing of the case and bracelet. Suited to owners restoring a flagship watch they intend to keep and wear for the long term. Crystal is renewed, gaskets and seals are replaced, and water resistance is restored by pressure test. Case and bracelet surfaces are worked by hand to the original finishing lines.

Written quote required
No work begins without a written, owner-approved quote. Assessments are provided at no charge.
Parts returned
Replaced components are cleaned and returned in a labelled envelope with the watch unless disposal is requested.
Six-month cover
Labour carries a six-month cover period. Issues traceable to our work within that window are addressed without charge.
Service documentation
Every completed job is accompanied by a written service record noting work performed, parts replaced, and timing figures.
